Wednesday 16th April Premier League Football Preview

We have a couple of fixtures to preview with you guys from the English divisions, the first of them is from the Premiership where Newcastle welcome Crystal Palace to St James’ Park. The fixture at Selhurst Park ended in a 1-1 draw with the homeside scoring a 94th minute equaliser courtesy of Daniel Munoz in what was a tight game of football.

Fast forward five months and they play at Newcastle which we expect to be a different kettle of fish, Eddie Howe’s side are 4th in the table and a win here will lift them above Forest into 3rd place. Since their defeat at Anfield at the end of February they have won their following four matches in the top flight of English football. They beat West Ham away (0-1), Brentford at home (2-1), Leicester away (0-3) and then on Sunday they came from a goal behind to beat Man United at home (4-1). Harvey Barnes has scored three goals in his last two league games so we expect him to keep his place in the starting eleven.

They face a side in Crystal Palace who are 12th in the table, Oliver Glasner’s side finished last season in 10th place with 49 points so with seven games left to play they need six points to equal last season’s tally. The hard fought victory against their local rivals Crystal Palace recently (2-1) was dampened with a defeat at Man City last weekend. They found themselves two goals up after 20 minutes but they went in at the break level at 2-2. The game fell apart somewhat for Palace as it ended up being a 5-2 defeat.

They face a side here who are in great confidence in general after a EFL Cup Final win against Liverpool last month. We feel this scoreline will surpass the two goal barrier of earlier in the season with the homeside taking maximum points.

Best odds for this fixture can be found at non UKGC casinos here: Newcastle 4/6, Crystal Palace 4/1 and the Draw 29/10. Kick off 19.30pm Wednesday Live on Sky Sports Main Event .

The other fixture comes from League Two where Bradford welcome Notts County to Valley Parade. The homeside sit second in the table with three points separating themselves from leaders Port Vale with four games remaining. Graham Alexander’s side were in a nine goal contest last weekend losing to Swindon away 5-4. They were 3-1 up at one stage but two injury time goals from the homeside defeated them.

They could really do with getting three points here as there’s three sides in contention for the automatic promotion places in second and third.

They face a side in Notts County who are 6th in the table and pushing for a playoff place, Stuart Maynard’s side hope to complete a home and away double over their opponents after a 3-0 win earlier in the season. They do need to adjust from two consecutive defeats in the league having lost away to Colchester (1-0) and at home to Salford (1-3). Both of those sides are right on their tail for the playoff places which didn’t help but we expect them to raise their game for this midweek top 6 fixture. We wouldn’t be surprised to see both sides getting on the scoresheet but which team will come away with maximum points.

Match Betting: Bradford 10/11, Notts County 3/1 and the Draw 12/5. Kick off 20.00pm Thursday Live on Sky Go.

We wish you the best of luck with your predictions here in what looks to be two great games of football.
