We have four games from the Champions League on Tuesday, the first return leg of the day will come from the Nou Camp where Barcelona will host Benfica. The homeside managed to get a 1-0 victory but it was far from an easy game for the Spanish giants, Hans Flick’s side were down to ten men from the 22nd minute when Cubarsi got a straight red for a last man challenge.
The Catalan club managed to take the lead on the hour mark when Raphinha netted with his left foot. The homeside saw their game against Osasuna cancelled at the weekend after their first team doctor passed away minutes before the game was due to start so they will come here with a slight rest.
The visitors will feel it was a missed opportunity getting beat in the first leg especially after having an extra man for over an hour but Bruno Lage’s team didn’t rest on their laurels as they beat Nacional at home on Saturday (3-0). The win meant they still have three points to make up on leaders Sporting but with a game in hand so there is still all to play for. The last two times they have played at the Nou Camp it has ended goalless but that will not be good enough to reach the next round of the competition.

The second contest is from the BayArena where Leverkusen welcome German rivals Bayern Munich for the second leg of the tie, Xabi Alonso’s side will be hoping for an early goal as they have a three goal deficit to get back from the first leg. The homeside lost here in the league 0-2 against Bremen on Saturday but with nine points clear of third place there isn’t anything lost bar a dent in their confidence losing two games on the bounce.
The visitors Bayern are very much in control of this knockout game having won 3-0 in the first leg, Vincent Kompany’s side are eight points clear at the top of the Bundesliga but they did lose at home against Bochum at the weekend (2-3). The homeside were two goals up after 28 mins but Palhinha saw a straight red before half time which didn’t help matters, they will hope to bounce back here and finish off the tie early on.

The next of the evening games is from the San Siro where Inter welcome Feyenoord for the return leg, Simone Inzaghi’s side go into this game with a two goal away advantage after a 2-0 victory in Holland last week where Martinez and Thuram netted. The Italian side remain a point clear of Napoli at the top of Serie A after coming from two down at home to Monza to win the game 3-2, they will look to take an early lead here to close down any chance of a comeback from their opponents.
The visitors Feyenoord didn’t have a game in the Eredivisie at the weekend so they have had chance to regroup after last week’s disappointing result at their ground, Robin Van Persie will know what a challenge his side will be up against after playing at this stadium as a player himself. The home fans will make it an intimidating atmosphere in their hope to unsettle them, we expect Van Persie to start with Paixao and Carranza up front again.

The last of the evening ties might be the best of the night and it comes from Anfield where Liverpool welcome PSG, Arne Slot’s side will bring a one goal lead back to Merseyside after a 1-0 victory in Paris with Harry Elliot scoring in the 87th minute. The hosts beat Southampton at the weekend 3-1 after going one down just before halftime and in doing so stretched their lead at the top of the Premiership to 15 points after their nearest persuades drew.
The visitors PSG will feel hard done by after some VAR decisions went against them in the first leg, Luis Enrique’s side had a penalty shout turned away and a goal disallowed. The French side won away to Rennes at the weekend (1-4) with Dembele scoring twice. This tie is really in the balance and although the homeside form is fantastic they will know an early goal will open up this tie once again.
