This Thursday we have Night 8 of the Premier League of Darts to preview, the first contest of the night is Luke Littler up against Stephen Bunting. It’s a case of top of the table against bottom of the table here with Littler leading on 21 pts after seven weeks completing winning nights three times. The young Brit will arrive here with confidence after winning Night 7 beating Nathan Aspinall 6-3, Rob Cross 6-2 and Michael Van Gerwen 6-4.
His opponent Stephen Bunting has failed to win an opening contest at this years Premier League tournament which sees him at the foot of the table without a single point, he stands as a massive 5/1 outsider at credit card casinos for this match up as he lost heavily against Luke Littler in Night 4 losing 6-3 and we feel this time it could be more of a bad day at the office for him. Scheduled for 19.15pm.
Match Betting: Luke Littler ⅙ and Stephen Bunting 9/2.
The second contest of the evening is Gerwyn Price up against Rob Cross, Price is 4th two points ahead of Cross in the table after winning two nights of the tournament. He won Night 3 beating Littler 6-4, Humphries 6-3 and Aspinall 6-3 and then on Night 6 he beat Bunting 6-4, Van Gerwen 6-1 and Littler 6-3.
His opponent Rob Cross has failed to win a night yet but is 5th in the table, the two players met last week in their first game of the evening with Cross winning 6-5. He lost the second tie of the evening to Luke Littler 6-2 making it five times he’s failed at the second fixture of the Nights Premier League tournament.
We expect another tight contest but feel Gerwyn Price will get his revenge in Night 8. Scheduled for 19.45pm.
Match Betting: Gerwyn Price 4/6 and Rob Cross 6/5.
The third match of the night is Luke Humphries against Chris Dobey, Humphries is 2nd in the table with 15 pts after winning two evenings. He arrives here having lost the opening contest losing his opening match the last three weeks, firstly to Cross 6-4, then Littler 6-4 and more recently to Van Gerwen 6-4. This is a great opportunity to get back winning as he’s already beat his opponent 6-4 and 6-1 in previous weeks and we think betting Luke Humphries -2sets at 1/1 with non UK casinos is a great value bet.
His opponent Dobey sits 7th with just 5 pts, he managed to get to the final game of Night 1 where he lost convincingly to Humphries making the head to head 6-3 in Luke Humphries favour.
We expect Luke Humphries to put away his opponent comfortably here with a score line of 6-1 or 6-2.
Match Betting: Luke Humphries 2/5 and Chris Dobey 2/1 Scheduled for 20.15pm
The last of the first lot of contests for the evening is Michael Van Gerwen against Nathan Aspinall, the Dutchman sits 3rd in the table with 13 pts but has yet to win an evening. He failed at the final hurdle of Night 7 losing to Littler 6-4 having to always chance the game. He beat Dobey 6-4 on Night 6 having been in control throughout.
His opponent Aspinall beat Van Gerwen on Night 3 winning 6-3 so in recent form this could go either way. He sits 7th in the table with just 5 pts failing to get past the first contest five times in the seven previous weeks.
We expect Van Gerwen to take this comfortably by at least three legs.
Match Betting: Michael Van Gerwen 4/9 and Nathan Aspinall 15/8 Scheduled for 20.45pm
We will have all the remaining evenings contests markets available at (website)
