The last of the midweek action on the Football scene is on Thursday where we have two televised games to preview with you fans, the first game comes from the London Stadium where West Ham host Leicester. The Hammers are 16th in the table but Graham Potter’s side will come into this fixture on the back of a fantastic result at the Emirates at the weekend. They had been on a four game winless run before last weekend with only one point which was away at Aston Villa (1-1).
Graham Potter might look to Danny Ings to play a part in this game, in the victory at the Emirates they played Jarrod Bowen upfront partnering Mohammed Kudus. Bowen did get the only goal of the game but he plays better just behind the front two.
The visitors Leicester beat West Ham 3-1 when they met at the King Power, manager Ruud Van Nistlerooy had only just taken charge of the Foxes. Since then they have only won in the FA Cup fourth round against QPR (6-2) and then away at Tottenham (1-2).
The Foxes are 19th in the Premiership and five points from safety with just ten games remaining, the fixture list doesn’t look easy with their next four fixtures being Chelsea away, Man United at home, Man City away and Newcastle at home. The blame normally gets handed to the manager but Van Nistlerooy hasn’t been able to spend due to the financial restrictions Leicester had on them as well.
This game could go either way but an early goal would certainly open the game up, Leicester need the points more than West Ham.

The second fixture comes from League Two where Barrow host Carlisle at Holker Street, Andy Whing’s side are in 18th in the table and are certain to finish nowhere near the 8th place they finished in League Two last season. They have 14 games remaining of the season but with 11 pts away from the relegation zone it looks unlikely that they will be going down.
The homeside have lost their last two games in the league away to Cheltenham (3-2) and away at Crewe (3-0) but they will be playing a side who they should be beating here.
The visitors Carlisle sit at the foot of the table in 24th place and look likely to be relegated in two consecutive seasons. They finished bottom of League One and now are currently five points from safety in League Two. Mark Hughes side are without a win in their last six games and only accumulated two points both of which were goalless draws at home to Colchester and Gillingham. They will certainly be the team more hungry for the points but have they got the talent to be their opponents here.
