Thursday 24th April Spanish Football Betting Preview

We have two fixtures to look at with you football fans from La Liga with the first of them from the Estadio Municipal de Butarque where Leganes host Girona. We were lucky enough to enjoy a seven goal thriller earlier in the season with Girona winning 4-3. Now Leganes will be the homeside so will that result in a different result? Borja Jimenez’s side are 19th in the table and three points adrift of safety with six matches of the season remaining. They come into this midweek fixture on the back of a goalless draw away at Mallorca which was their first clean sheet in six league games.

The visitors Girona are looking to get the home and away victory over their opponents which would help massively in their quest for survival. Michel’s side are 16th in the table with a three point gap between themselves and the relegation places but with a run of four consecutive defeats they could easily be amongst it again if they lose here. The four match losing run started with Barcelona 4-1, followed by a home loss against Girona (0-1), then away to Osasuna (2-1) and then more recently a home defeat by Betis (1-3). They can’t afford to stretch that losing run to five matches here.

Best odds for this fixture can be found at non UK licensed casinos here: Leganes 17/10, Girona 19/10 and the Draw 2/1. Kick off 18.00pm Live on Premier Sports.

The second match to look at is from the Estadio El Sadar where Osasuna will host Sevilla, there was little to separate them earlier on in the season with the points shared after a 1-1 draw. That was the third consecutive draw between the two sides. Vicente Moreno’s side are 11th in the table and come into this fixture on the back of back to back victories at home to Girona (2-1) and away to bottom of the league Real Valladolid (2-3).

The visitors Sevilla are four points behind their opponents in 15th where they look to finish the season similar to last season. Joaquin Caparros’s side ended their four match losing run with a draw at home to Alaves 1-1 at the weekend, having took a early lead they would see it as points dropped with Alaves in a relegation battle. They currently have a six point buffer between themselves and the drop zone currently but they could easily get dragged into it if sides below them win a couple of fixtures.

Best odds for this fixture can be found at USA casinos for UK players here: Osasuna 6/4, Sevilla 11/5 and the Draw 2/1. Kick off 18.00pm Live on Premier Sports.

We have two televised later matches to look at with you from La Liga, the first of those coming from the Riyadh Air Metropolitano with Atletico Madrid hosting Rayo Vallecano. Diego Simone’s side would have seen it as points dropped when they could only manage a 1-1 score against their opponents but now playing at home this should be a different scenario. The homeside have dropped off from the title race with a ten point gap separating themselves from leaders Barcelona with just six fixtures of the season remaining now. They come into this contest on the back of an away defeat to relegation battlers Las Palmas (1-0) where they conceded a 93rd minute goal. They had won their previous two matches away to Sevilla (1-2) and at home to Real Valladolid (4-2) so fans will hope they can bounce back here.

The visitors Rayo Vallecano are middtable in 10th but with there only being three points between themselves and a place in Europe they have much to play for. Inigo Perez’s side haven’t beaten their opponents at this venue since 1999 when they won (0-2). We can’t see that changing here.

Best odds for this fixture can be found at gambling sites that take credit cards here: Atletico Madrid 8/15, Rayo Vallecano 6/1 and the Draw 3/1. Kick off 20.30pm Live on Premier Sports.

The other fixture to look at is Real Betis hosting Real Valladolid at the Benito Villamarin, Manuel Pellegrini’s side are 6th in the league and hoping to put pressure on 5th place for the last Champions League position next season. The homeside will arrive at this contest on the back of a victory away from home against Girona (1-3) where they controlled the game throughout. They have ex Real Madrid playmaker Isco looking to add to his seven goal tally for the season and we feel this is a great opportunity for him to do so.

The visitors Real Valladolid are bottom of the table with 35 points between the two sides over 32 fixtures this season. Alvaro Rubio’s side are hoping to complete the home and away double over their opponents after a 1-0 win earlier in the season. They are on a six match losing run and win just the one win away from home all season which was away to Alaves (2-3) back in October we can’t see them getting anything from this fixture.

Best odds for this fixture can be found at American betting sites for UK here: Real Betis ⅕, Real Valladolid 16/1 and the Draw 6/1. Kick off 20.30pm Live on Premier Sports.
