Sunday 27th April Televised Football Betting Preview

We have your Sunday afternoons entertainment sorted for you football fans with a double header from the top flight of English football. The first of the fixtures is from the Vitality Stadium where Bournemouth will host Man Utd, Andoni Iraola’s side are looking to complete the home and away double after a 3-0 victory at Old Trafford earlier in the season. The Cherries are 8th in the league which is en route to their best position since their return to the Premiership in 2022.

Their consistency has dipped somewhat recently though which has meant they have slipped away from a chance of competing in one of the European competitions next season. They reached the FA Cup Quarter-Final where they lost at home to Man City 1-2 and since that exit they have collected just five points from a possible 15 in the league. They were beaten by soon to be relegated Ipswich at home (1-2), drew away at West Ham (2-2), won at home against Fulham (1-0) and then more recently a goalless draw away at Crystal Palace where they were unable to make playing with an extra man second half count.

The visitors Man Utd are 14th in the table and en route to their worst finish since Sir Alex Ferguson left. Ruben Amorim’s side have lost three of their last four league matches. They lost away to Nottingham Forest (1-0), drew at home to rivals Man City (0-0), got thrashed away by Newcastle (4-1) and then in their last match lost at home to Wolves (0-1). That last result could be forgiven after a long battle in the Europa League Quarter-Final three days previously. The Red Devils looked to have the contest in safe keeping leading 2-0 at half time but Lyon pulled it back to 2-2 which meant extra time was needed.

It was a game of swings as the French side went 4-2 in front in extra time even with ten men but the homeside ended strong and won the match 5-4. We are unsure if Amorim will rest some key players ready for next week’s Semi-Final away at Athletic Bilbao.

Match Betting Odds: Bournemouth 8/11, Man Utd 17/5 and the Draw 14/5. Kick off 14.00pm Live on Sky Sports Main Event.

The second contest of the afternoon is from Anfield where Liverpool will host Tottenham, Arne Slot’s side have played three matches against their opponents already this season. They won 6-3 at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium in the league then lost away in the first leg of the EFL Cup Semi-Final 1-0 and then won in the return leg here at Anfield 4-0. The Merseyside Club were confirmed as this season’s Premiership winners so will receive the trophy Sunday. We expect them to put on a good performance for their home fans beforehand with a clear cut victory and highly recommend betting the price boost of 4/5 which is available at leading non UK casino sites, best of luck!

The visitors Tottenham are 16th and en route for their worst finish for sometime. The position of Ange Postecoglou for next season is unknown but the North London club still remain in with a chance of silverware in the Europa League. They have a Semi-Final contest against Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt with the first round in England next week. They have lost their last two league matches away at Wolves (4-2) and at home against Tottenham (1-2). We can’t see that changing here and with that European match next Thursday we expect the manager to rest some players and betting Liverpool Halftime/Fulltime looks a cracking bet at 10/11 with EU casinos.

Match Betting: Liverpool ¼, Tottenham 10/1 and the Draw 11/2 Kick off 16.30pm Live on Sky Sports Main Event

We have two fixtures for you from the Bundesliga on Sunday, the first of those is from the Vonovia Ruhrstadion where Bochum will host Union Berlin. Dieter Hecking’s side are 17th in the table with ten points adrift of safety with just four games remaining so anything other than a victory here will mean they will be relegated. They managed a shock win away at Bayern Munich six games ago winning 2-3 but since that they have lost the following five Bundlesliga matches conceding 16 goals and scoring just three in the process. The homeside have the worst goal difference in the league with -33 (scoring 29 and conceding 62) over 30 games.

The visitors Union Berlin are 13th in the league sitting 15 points ahead of their opponents, Steffen Baumgart’s side are unbeaten in six winning three and drawing the other three. Two of their victories were away at Frankfurt (1-2) then Freiburg (1-2) and then the home win was against Wolfsburg (1-0). We expect them to get the three points here and in doing so send their opponents down.

Match Betting: Bochum 11/8, Union Berlin 2/1 and the Draw 23/10 Kick off 14.30pm Live on Sky Sports Football

The other fixture comes from Weserstadion where Bremen will host St Pauli, Ole Werner’s side will look to complete the home and away double after a 0-2 victory earlier in the season. The homeside are 8th in the table and pushing for a spot in Europe next season. They arrive at this fixture on the back of a four game winning run where they have beaten Kiel away (0-3), Frankfurt at home (2-0), Stuttgart away (1-2) and Bochum at home (1-0). We can see them stretching that run here and not conceding a goal in the process.

The visitors St Pauli are 14th and en route to stay up after winning Bundesliga 2 last season, Alexander Blessin’s side have drawn two and won one of their last three. They drew at home to M’gladbach and Leverkusen 1-1 and then beat Kiel away 1-2 where a 92nd minute own goal won them the game. We feel they will be brushed aside by their opponents here though.

Match Betting: Bremen 17/20, St Pauli 3/1 and the Draw 13/5 Kick off 16.30pm Live on Sky Sports Football

We wish you the best of luck however you play these matches.
