Saturday 22nd February Championship Football

We have five afternoon games from the Championship on Saturday the first we will look at comes from the Coventry Building Society Stadium Arena where Coventry host Preston. Frank Lampard’s side are 7th in the table and just one point separates them from the playoff positions. They will arrive into this game on the back of two victories at home to QPR (1-0) and away to Sheffield Wednesday (1-2) but in their last seven games they have only actually lost once and that was to top of the table Leeds. The rest of the games they picked up maximum points.

The visitors Preston are 15th in the table but Paul Heckingbottom’s side are only five points adrift of their opponents here. When they played Coventry at Deepdale they won 1-0 so fans will be hoping they can complete the home and away double. It looks another tight game and betting under 2.5 goals at 10/11 with non UK casinos looks a good value bet. Kick off 3pm.

Match Betting: Coventry 17/20, Preston 7/2 and the draw 12/5.

The second game we will look at comes from Carrow Road where Norwich host Stoke, Johannes Thorup’s side are in 12th in the table but arrive here without a win in the last three games. They drew at home to Derby (1-1), lost at home to Preston (0-1) and more recently drew away to Hull (1-1).

The visitors Stoke are 19th in the table, Mark Robins side are six points away from the drop zone after a victory at home to Swansea (3-1) last weekend. When the two sides met earlier in the season it ended 1-1 so we wouldn’t be surprised if they shared the points again. The draw looks good value and can be found at top price of 3/1 with gambling sites that accept credit cards. Kick off 3pm.

Match Betting: Norwich 4/6, Stoke 4/1 and the Draw 29/10.

The next game we will look at comes from Fratton Park where Portsmouth host QPR, John Mousinho’s side are 18th in the table and seven points from the relegation zone after two wins on the bounce. They beat Cardiff at home (2-1) and more recently an away victory against Oxford (0-2). Pompy fans will hope they can do the double over QPR as they won away earlier in the season (1-2).

The visitors QPR are arriving into this game in midtable, Marti Cifuentes’s side have lost their last two away games in the league. They got beaten by Millwall (2-1) and then more recently Coventry (1-0). We can expect a close match here which could go either way. Both teams to score is the recommend bet and it it top price at 10/11 with American betting sites for UK. Kick off 3pm.

Match Betting: Portsmouth 7/5, QPR 2/1 and the Draw 23/10.

We then have a match from Swansea.com Stadium where Swansea host Blackburn, Alan Sheehan’s side are 14 pts behind their opponents in the league. They have lost their last three games at home to Sheffield United (1-2), Coventry (0-2) and more recently to Sheffield Wednesday (0-1) so can they put a stop to that poor statistic here.

The visitors Blackburn are 5th in the table, David Lowe’s side have won their last two league games 2-0 away to West Brom and more recently at home to Plymouth. They are en route to a play off position come the end of the season and hope they can back up the win at Ewood when the two sides met earlier in the campaign. 7/4 looks like cracking value for Blackburn to win but you can even find it at 15/8 with casinos not on Gamban, we highly recommend the bet. Kick off 3pm.

Match Betting: Swansea 6/4, Blackburn 7/4 and the Draw 9/4.

The final game comes from the Hawthorns where West Brom host Oxford Utd, Tony Mowbray’s side arrive here in the play off positions but with it being very tight up there a win here is crucial. They are without a win in the last two league games, they lost at home to Blackburn (0-2) and then drew away at Millwall (1-1). This looks to be a tight game but can the home advantage pay dividends.

The visitors Oxford are 16th in the table, Gary Rowett’s side are away from the drop zone but they are without a victory in their last five games drawing three and losing two. The last time these met at Oxford it ended 1-1 so will we have a similar score here.

Match Betting: West Brom 4/6, Oxford 5/1 and the Draw 5/2 Kick off 3pm.

We wish you the best of luck with your predictions.
