We have four non televised games to bring you from the Premiership on Saturday the first comes from Goodison Park where Everton will host West Ham. There has been a change of managers in both clubs since they last played where the game ended goalless. The homeside now has David Moyes managing the club for the second time and since his return the Merseyside club have really turned the corner and pulled away from the battle of relegation.
They are unbeaten in eight league games where they have won four and drawn four but they are without a win in the last three games drawing at home to Man Utd (2-2), away to Brentford (1-1) and away to Everton (1-1). We expect this to be a game where they can get back to winning ways.
The visitors West Ham are a place behind their opponents in the league but only goal difference separates the sides, Graham Potter’s side put back to back wins for the first time this season with victories away to Arsenal (0-1) and at home to Leicester (2-0) in February but the only game in March so far ended in a away defeat to Newcastle (0-1).
We expect the homeside to win but we wouldn’t be surprised to see both sides get on the scoresheet.
Match betting odds at non UK gambling sites: Everton 11/10, West Ham 14/5 and the Draw 9/4. Kick off 15.00pm.
The second fixture to look at is from The Etihad where Man City will welcome Brighton, Pep Guardiola’s side slipped to 5th in the table after a defeat away to Nottingham Forest last weekend. The homeside are out of the Champions League after a two leg defeat to Real Madrid so their only chance of silverware is the FA Cup where they face Bournemouth away in the next round. There’s only ten games left of the season so the Manchester club will be pushing to get back into the top four which will give them the chance to play in the Champions League next season.
They face a side in Brighton who are only a point behind them in 7th in the Premiership, Fabian Hurzeler’s side won 2-1 when the two sides met earlier in the season but coming to the Etihad it will be a different kettle of fish. The seaside club do arrive here on the back of four league victories at home to Chelsea (3-0), away to Southampton (0-4), at home to Bournemouth (2-1) and most recently at home to Fulham (2-1) having to come from a goal behind to win the game.
We can see Brighton getting on the scoresheet but we expect Man City to be too good for the visitors especially with the home advantage.
Match Betting: Man City 4/6, Brighton 18/5 and the Draw 10/3 Kick off 15.00pm
The third fixture to look at comes from St Mary’s where Southampton will face Wolves, Ivan Juric’s side sit at the foot of the table with just the two wins all season. The homeside have lost their last four games in the league and have now accepted they will be playing in the Championship next season.
The visitors Wolves won 2-0 when the sides met earlier in the season, Vitor Pereira’s side have climbed six points away from the bottom three places after a couple of victories in recent weeks. The Midlands club exited the FA Cup last 16 on penalties to Bournemouth at the beginning of the month so they just have the Premiership survival to concentrate on now.
We can see Wolves getting maximum points here and in doing so move further away from relegation struggles.
Match betting odds at American betting sites for UK: Southampton 3/1, Wolves 1/1 and the Draw 12/5 Kick off 15.00pm
The last of the afternoon games comes from Portman Road where Ipswich host Nottingham Forest, the two sides met in the FA Cup in the last 16 with Forest going through on penalties. In the league Kieran McKenna’s side are 18th and six points from safety with ten games remaining. The homeside have lost their last three league games at home to Tottenham (1-4), away at Man United (3-2) and most recently away to Crystal Palace (1-0) but can they turn things around here on their quest for survival?
The visitors Nottingham Forest beat their opponents 5-4 on penalties recently to reach the last 8 and when the sides met in the league earlier in the season Forest won 1-0. Nuno Santos’s side arrive here in 3rd in the table and on the back of a fantastic home victory over Man City (1-0) where Callum Hudson-Odoi scored in the 83rd minute.
There is a 34 point gap between the two sides over 28 games so far this season so we can see nothing other than a Forest win in this fixture.
Match Betting: Ipswich 3/1, Nottingham Forest 19/20 and the Draw 13/5 Kick off 15.00pm
