We have four televised fixtures to preview with you football fans with the first coming from the Jose Zorrilla Stadium where bottom of the table Real Valladolid face Celta. The homeside are 11 points from safety with just 11 games remaining and only having four victories all season it shows how far they are behind the rest of the teams standard. They have one draw and seven defeats in their last eight with the draw being at home to Las Palmas 1-1 who are also a side battling to avoid the drop.
The visitors Celta won 3-1 when the sides met earlier in the season so can Claudio Giraldez’s side complete the home and away double here? They sit 9th in La Liga and arrive here unbeaten in five league games getting victories at home to Betis (3-2), drawing away at Atletico Madrid (1-1), winning at home to Osasuna (1-0), drawing away at Girona (2-2) and then winning last week at home to Leganes (2-1). We can’t see anything other than an away victory here and placing more misery on Real Valladolid.
Match Betting: Real Valladolid 9/2, Celta 8/13 and the Draw 29/10 Kick off 13.00pm Live on Premier Sports Player
The second fixture to preview comes from the Estadi de Son Moix where Mallorca will host Espanyol, Jagoba Arrasate’s side are 7th in La Liga but after three consecutive 1-1 draws away to Sevilla, at home to Alaves and away to Athletic Bilbao they are desperate to a victory. They are four points out of the top six places with eleven games remaining so a victory here will help their Europa League place goal massively.
The visitors Espanyol are 15th and they are a team that needs points to stay clear of the relegation zone, there’s just two points between themselves and 18th position currently. Manolo Gonzalez’s side are unbeaten in three matches, they have won away at Alaves (0-1) and then drew 1-1 at home to Athletic Bilbao and at home to Girona. The visitors have beaten their opponent the last twice 2-1 but both of those matches have been at RCDE Stadium.
We expect a tight match but we feel both sides are capable of getting on the scoresheet.
Match Betting: Mallorca 17/20, Espanyol 4/1 and the Draw 12/5 Kick off 15.15pm Live on Premier Sports Player
The next fixture of the day comes from the Estadio de la Ceramica where Villareal will host Real Madrid, Marcelino’s side are 5th in La Liga and en route to a place in Europe for next season. They were on a six game unbeaten run until last weekend when Alaves beat them 1-0 away from home, they haven’t got an easy fixture here to bounce straight back from defeat though.
The visitors Real Madrid are joint top of La Liga with Barcelona but have played one more game than the Catalan side. They lost the lead at the top after a 2-1 defeat away to Real Betis but since that fixture they have won at home to Rayo Vallecano 2-1 and also defeated Atletico Madrid on penalties in the Champions League. The Spanish Giants face Arsenal in the next stage of Europe which promises to be a fantastic two leg contest.
We can expect an even game here but can Real Madrid just edge it and keep the pressure on Barcelona. Our experts suggest a 3 point bet on Real Madrid at top price 6/5 with the leading gambling sites that accept credit cards.
Match Betting: Villareal 11/5, Real Madrid 11/10 and the Draw 14/5. Kick off 17.30pm Live on Premier Sports Player.
The last of the day’s matches comes from the Estadi Montilivi where Girona host Valencia, Michel’s side are 13th in the table currently and arrive at this fixture hoping to gain their first win in six games. They have drawn at home to Celta (2-2) and away to Espanyol (1-1) but lost their previous three contests in the league. They have won three of their last four games against their opponents Valencia so can they add another to the tally here?
The visitors Valencia find themselves in 16th and just one point above the relegation zone, Carlos Corberan’s side arrive at this fixture on the back of a home victory against bottom of the table Real Valladolid (2-1). They just have the league to concentrate on now after being thrashed at home by Barcelona in the Copa del Rey quarter final 5-0. This is by no means an easy game for Corberan’s side.
Match Betting: Girona 19/20, Valencia 3/1 and the Draw 12/5 Kick off 20.00pm Live on Premier Sports Player
