We have two televised fixtures across Europe on Monday evening and the first we will look at is from Serie A where Parma welcome Juventus to the Ennio Tardini. This fixture was an exciting game of football earlier in the season where it ended 2-2. Cristian Chivu’s Parma side are 16th in the table with four points between themselves and the bottom three, now with six games remaining they aren’t guaranteed to remain in the top flight of Italian football. They are hoping they can end the five match draw run they are currently on with a victory in front of their home fans.
They have drawn at home to Torino (2-2), away at Monza (1-1), away at Verona (0-0), at home to top of the table Inter (2-2) and then more recently a goalless draw away at Fiorentina.
They face a team in Juventus who are hoping to at least match their 3rd place finish of last season, they sit 4th currently. Igor Tudor’s side are unbeaten in the last three with victories at home to Genoa (1-0), draw away at Roma (1-1) and then more recently a home win against Lecce (2-1). Turkish midfielder Kenan Yildiz has scored two in his last three games for the visitors so can he continue that good run of form here and help his side to three points.
Match Betting: Parma 4/1, Juventus ¾ and the Draw 13/5. Kick off 19.45pm Live on TNT Sports 1.
The other televised fixture is from La Liga where Girona will welcome Real Betis to the Estadi Montilivi. The points were shared earlier in the season (1-1) but can we see a winner this time. Michel’s side are 16th in the table with a five point cushion between the drop zone with seven games remaining of the season. They need to turn their bad run of results around with three straight defeats away at Barcelona (4-1), at home to Alaves (0-1) and more recently away at Osasuna (2-1). The last victory was nine games ago which was at home to Las Palmas winning 2-1 back at the start of February.
They face a side in Betis who look likely to be playing Europa League football next season. Manuel Pellegrini’s side are 6th in the table but their seven match unbeaten run came to an end in the league last weekend where they were beaten at home by 5th place Villareal (1-2) having taken the lead after just 3 minutes. They have the Semi-Final of the Conference League where they face Fiorentina which is their only chance left of silverware this season. We expect a close game here but feel Betis will just edge it over their opponents Girona.
Match Betting: Girona 2/1, Real Betis 7/5 and the Draw 12/5. Kick off 20.00pm Live on Premier Sports.
