We have two fixtures to bring to you from La Liga on Tuesday evening both available to watch on your big screen. The first of them is from the Mestalla where Valencia welcome Espanyol, the contest earlier in the season ended with the points shared after a 1-1 draw. There is very little to separate the sides in the table but Carlos Corberan’s side do come into this match unbeaten in their last seven league games. They have won their last three fixtures in front of their home fans beating Real Valladolid (2-1), Mallorca (1-0) and Sevilla (1-0) so can that great run of form carry on here?
They face a side in Espanyol who have won their last three fixtures away at Rayo Vallecano (0-4), away at Celta Vigo (0-2) and more recently a home win against Getafe (1-0). They face a side who are in good form also so we can’t see them keeping a clean sheet for the fourth match in a row here. We expect more than the two goals scored in the previous contest between the two sides.
Match Betting: Valencia ¾, Espanyol 21/5 and the Draw 13/5 Kick off Tuesday 18.00pm Live on Premier Sports
The second fixture of the evening is from the Olimpic Lluis Company’s Stadium with Barcelona welcoming Mallorca, the Catalan side smashed Mallorca 1-5 earlier in the season so can we expect the same this time. Hans Flick’s side are four points clear at the top of La Liga after a hard battled victory at home to Celta at the weekend (4-3) meaning they remain unbeaten in the league in 2025. The homeside were beaten by Dortmund midweek in the Champions League (3-1) but went through on aggregate 5-3 to set up a Semi-Final contest against Inter Milan. We expect Robert Lewandowski to add to his 25 goal tally in the league this season.
The visitors Mallorca are 7th in the table with six games remaining of the season they are pushing for a spot in the Europa League next season. Jagoba Arrasate’s side could only manage a goalless draw at home to Leganes at the weekend but did win their last game on the road beating Real Sociedad (0-2) upsetting the pundits. We feel getting a win here is a step too far here though against a side enroute to the Spanish title.
Match Betting: Barcelona ⅕, Mallorca 14/1 and the Draw 13/2 Kick off 20.30pm Tuesday Live on Premier Sports
We have two early matches to look at with you from La Liga, the first of those is from the San Mames where Athletic Bilbao will host Las Palmas. The fixture was a five goal thriller when they met earlier in the season so can we expect more of the same this time. Ernesto Valverde’s side are 4th in the table and look likely to be competing in the Champions League next season. The homeside brushed aside Rangers in the Europa League Quarter-Final last week to now set up a Semi-Final contest against English club Man Utd.
They will come into this midweek La Liga match on the back of a away defeat to Real Madrid 1-0 conceding a 93rd minute goal. They look likely to bounce back here and complete the home and away double over their opponents.
The visitors Las Palmas have moved out of the bottom three after two back to back victories. Diego Martinez’s side beat Getafe away (1-3) having gone in at half time one goal down and that followed by a home win against Atletico Madrid at the weekend where they scored a 93rd minute winner (1-0). This looks to be a tough fixture to carry on their winning streak but at least for their fans they remain alive and kicking for the battle to stay in the league.
Match Betting: Athletic Bilbao 4/11, Las Palmas 15/2 and the Draw 4/1 Kick off 18.00pm Wednesday Live on Premier Sports
The second match to look at is from the Municipal de Balaidos where Celta host Villarreal, this fixture gave spectators seven goals earlier in the season with the homeside Villareal winning 4-3 but they need a 100th minute injury time goal to seal the maximum points.
Now Claudio Giraldez’s side have the advantage of playing at home, they are 8th in the table with nine points adrift of their opponents here. They need to get back on the winning wagon after two consecutive defeats at home to Espanyol (0-2) and away to Barcelona (4-3).
The visitors Villareal are 5th in the table and pushing for a spot in the Champions League next season, Marcelino’s side are unbeaten in four league matches recently. They beat Getafe away (1-2), drew at home to Athletic Bilbao (0-0), beat Real Betis away (1-2) and then their last game drew at home to Real Sociedad (2-2). Can they make it three consecutive wins on the road here?
