We have two fixtures available to watch on the big screen this Friday, the first of those comes from the Championship where Stoke welcome Sheffield Utd to the Bet365 Stadium. The homeside are looking likely to fail to finish the season in the top half of the Championship for the seventh season since their relegation from the Premiership in 2019, Mark Robins side sit 17th in the table with two fixtures remaining. After two back to back victories beating Cardiff away (0-1) and Sheffield Wednesday at home (2-0) they were firmly put in their place by top of the table Leeds getting beat 6-0.
They face a side in Sheffield Utd who are certain to miss out on automatic promotion after four defeats in their last five matches. Chris Wilder’s side were beaten away by Oxford (1-0), beaten at home by Millwall (0-1), beaten away by bottom of the table Plymouth (2-1), they then beat Cardiff at home (2-0) but then Monday they were beaten by Burnley (2-1) which confirmed automatic promotion was out of reach. They really need to get a victory here to build team morale for the play off matches.
Match Betting: Stoke 7/5, Sheffield Utd 15/8 and the Draw 12/5 Kick off 20.00pm Live on Sky Sports Main Event
The other televised match is from the Bundesliga where Stuttgart host Heidenheim at the MHP Arena, Sebastian Hoeneb’s side look to complete the home and away double after a 3-1 victory earlier in the season. The homeside sit 11th with four fixtures remaining which is a big backwards step after finishing runners up last season. They come into this match on the back of a eight goal thriller away at Union Berlin, the match finished 4-4 with all goals being in the first half.
The visitors Heidenheim have four fixtures to save their season, they are eight points from safety in 16th as it stands. They have lost their last three matches without scoring a goal so will that change here? They were beaten at home by Leverkusen (0-1), beaten away by Frankfurt (3-0) and then more recently by Bayern Munich (0-4). We can’t see the results changing here with the likelihood of relegation looming.
Match Betting: Stuttgart ⅖, Heidenheim 11/2 and the Draw 18/5 Kick off 19.30pm Live on Sky Sports+
