This week we have the second legs of the Coppa Italia to enjoy, the first of those is the Milan Derby (Inter vs AC Milan). We go into part two of this Semi-Final level after the 1-1 draw a couple of weeks ago. It was AC Milan who took the lead early in the second half when Tammy Abraham scored with his right foot to the left hand corner.
Inter Milan pushed for an equalizer which took 20 minutes from the first goal but captain Hakan Calhanoglu scored from outside the box with his right foot to the bottom left corner. It was Inter that finished the game the stronger, but the winning goal of the leg wasn’t scored so we are back for part two of the contest with all to play for.
Since that Simone Inzaghi’s side have had three fixtures in Serie A the first was a draw away at Parma (2-2) where they gave away a two goal lead. They then had a home win against Cagliari (3-1) which was followed by an away defeat to 4th place Bologna (1-0). The Champions League dream was kept alive with a Quarter-Final victory over Bayern Munich after a 1-2 win in Germany they drew 2-2 back in Italy to win the contest 4-3 on aggregate. They face Barcelona in the last four.
Their opponents AC Milan just had the three Serie A matches to concentrate on, they drew at home to Fiorentina (2-2), beat Udinese away (0-4) and then lost at the weekend at home to Atalanta (0-1). They are 9th in the table with twenty points between them and leaders Inter so we expect that to show here in this match with silverware in touching distance.

The second Semi-Final see’s Bologna welcome Empoli to the Renato D’all’Ara, this contest looks to be in the hands of Bologna to give away after a 3-0 win away in the first leg puts them in touching distance of the final. Vincenzo Italiano’s side arrive here with confidence after a home victory over Inter at the weekend. They have five fixtures left of the season and as it stands they will be playing Champions League football next season.
Their opponents Empoli have won just one of their last 16 fixtures in all competitions and that was a penalty shootout against Juventus in the previous round of the Coppa Italia. They are currently 19th in Serie A and in a relegation battle albeit only needing a point to climb out of it. We feel that this second leg can only end one way and that’s with a Bologna victory.
Match Betting: Bologna 4/9, Empoli 13/2 and the Draw 7/2 Kick off 20.00pm Wednesday Live on Premier Sports
