We have the Copa del Rey Final on Saturday evening live from the Estadio de la Cartuja and what a contest it looks to be in this El Clasico. The two sides have met twice this season so far once at the Santiago Bernabeu where Barcelona won 0-4 with Lewandowski scoring twice, Yamal and Raphina scoring one each all in the second half. The other contest was in the Supercopa de Espana where Real Madrid took the lead through Mbappe within five minutes but the Catalan club went in at half time in control 4-1 and went on to win the contest 5-2.
Hans-Dieter Flick’s side have really turned the corner since the beginning of 2025 winning 12 and drawing 2 of their La Liga fixtures. They have a healthy seven point lead in the league with five fixtures remaining. They have a Champions League Semi-Final next week so the chance of four trophies this season is still possible.
The forward power going forward has been frightening with 89 goals scored in La Liga thus far, Robert Lewandowski has 25 goals, Raphinha 15 goals, Ferran Torres 10 goals and Dani Olmo 9 goals.
Their opponents Real Madrid were in control of the title at one point but a few defeats cost them valuable points, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have a game in hand over Barcelona but need to close a seven point gap down in the league with six fixtures remaining. They do have to face the Catalan side again away from home which could swing things.
They have won their last two league games by a goal to nil away at Alaves and at home to Athletic Bilbao but they don’t seem to be playing that free flowing football at the moment. The Galacticos were beaten home and away by Arsenal in the Champions League Quarter-Finals losing 3-0 at the Emirates and then 1-2 back at the Bernabeu so this looks the best chance of silverware this season.
We expect Kylian Mbappe to start who’s scored 31 goals so far this season but yet to make a breakthrough in this competition. He will be partnered by Vinicius Junior who’s looking to add to his 19 goal tally this season as well as Jude Bellingham who will play a big part holding the midfield together.
We can see there being goals aplenty here with the first goal of the match being a massive part in who ends up lifting the trophy.
The best odds for this fixture can be found at casinos non UK here: Barcelona 23/20, Real Madrid 2/1 and the Draw 14/5. Kick off 21.00pm Saturday, Live on Premier Sports.
