Monday 31st March Football Preview

We have two fixtures to look at with you from La Liga first being Verona up against Parma at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi, this fixture resulted in five goals when they played earlier in the season. The homeside Verona will look to complete the home and away double, Paolo Zanetti’s side won 3-2 in the first fixture. 

Verona sit in 14th currently with seven points separating themselves from the bottom three with nine games remaining of the season. They will arrive here on the back of an away victory at Udinese where they won 1-0, surprisingly their away form has been better than their home form this season but a win here would make it five each.

They face a Parma side who sit four points behind them in 16th, Cristian Chivu’s side are just three points above the drop zone. The visitors are without a victory in three games where they suffered defeat away at Udinese (1-0) before drawing at home to Torina (2-2) and away to Monza (1-1). They have won just once in their last eleven league games and that was at home to Bologna (2-0), that was a shock as they are in contention for a Champions League place next season. 

We expect an end to end fixture and wouldn’t be surprised to see a few goals scored again, Ben-W recommends betting both teams to score which is around 10/11 with leading credit card gambling sites.

The second game of the day comes from the Stadio Olimpico where Lazio face Torino, this is another fixture that resulted in five goals earlier in the season. Marco Baroni’s side look to complete the home and away double after winning 3-2 earlier in the campaign. The homeside sit 6th in Serie A but need to bounce back from a 5-0 thrashing away to Bologna in their last fixture. 

They remain in the Europa League and have Bodo/Glimt next in the Quarter-Final in a couple of weeks and it’s vital to arrive with confidence. We expect Valentin Castellanos to lead the front line who looks to add to his 9 goal seasons tally.

The visitors Torino sit in 11th place, with nine games remaining they can’t get relegated but they also look extremely unlikely to get a place in Europe next season. Paolo Vanoli’s side do arrive here in good spirits having won three of their last four league games. They won at home against Milan (2-1), away at Monza (0-2) and at home to Empoli (1-0). They drew the other away to Parma (2-2). There’s 18 pts between them in the league so although the visitors arrive in good form we can’t see them getting a victory here.
